Destination Wedding Tuscany Val d’Orcia

24 August 2019

Magali and Giulio were looking for a photographer for their destination wedding in Val d’Orcia, Tuscany. They contacted us directly from our website. She is French and he is Italian, both living abroad.
After an exchange of emails and a few phone calls we had the opportunity to get to know each other during a photo session in Firenze

Engagement shooting…

They chose to do the shooting a few months before the big day. We met at Boboli Gardens in Florence, a location that we particularly love as photographers because it offers interesting views of the city and beautiful hidden green corners. We spent a couple of hours together and this allowed us to get to know each other and understand what type of photo the bride and groom had in mind. This was very useful during the wedding especially for couple photos where the bride and groom are not always very relaxed. Together we took very fun and creative photos!

The wedding day…

The destination wedding took place in Villa Chiatina, a beautiful villa lost in the hills of the Val d’Orcia near Buonconvento, in Tuscany. It gathered guests from Italy and France and throughout the day the air we breathed was sparkling and joyful, with the desire of the bride and groom and their guests to party and have fun.
Starting from the preparation of the bride with her friends and the bridesmaids and that of the groom with her brothers and family, the photos were immediately spontaneous and full of joy. The ceremony was opened with the arrival of the bride on a wonderful vintage Fiat 500 and took place overlooking at the hills of the Val d’Orcia. The promises of the bride and groom and the speeches of groomsmen and  bridesmaids were all made in two languages to move all the guests. Ceremony and aperitif took place in the gardens of Villa Chiatina and from mid-afternoon we also activated our photo booth which toke pictures of the whole party until late at night. We had the chance to photograph the bride and groom and their families at sunset bathed in a beautiful pink light.
The dinner took place inside and was enlivened by many speeches and video memories. As soon as it was finished, we went back out for the cutting of the cake lit by hundreds of sparkles and the vintage 500 as a backdrop. The party then continued until late night and we had fun photographing the dances of the bride and groom and their friends.

Silvia & Tommaso did an amazing job. We've chose them based on their previous jobs through Matrimonio.com and their website. We've liked a lot their style. In the wedding package, we've had also an extra session used for us as "save the date" : some hours with them 4 months before the wedding, to take picture in Firenze. It was a good idea to take confidence and be more relaxed the D-day. They create a quiet atmosphere, we are not pushed or stressed. They are both lovely, friendly and we've took fun and pleasure during the wedding to do the pictures. The photobooth was also great with a high quality. The result of the wedding pictures is just great and perfect. I'm French and my husband Italian, since they speak English is a great "plus". Magali & Giulio
