A creative Wedding with a Bauhaus heart

28 June 2024

When Serena and Daniele shared their wedding plans with us, we immediately knew it would be a unique, original event, deeply connected to their artistic identity. As wedding photographers, we could immediately see the potential of this creative wedding, perfectly reflecting their innovative spirit. Serena and Daniele are two designers who live and work together in their Freak Out! studio (www.madeinfreakout.com), where they create one-of-a-kind pieces for interior design and decor. Daniele, a metal craftsman, and Serena, a glass artist, wanted a wedding that was a natural extension of their art and lifestyle.

A Tailored and Unique Wedding

Their vision was clear: to create a wedding that represented them, made their guests feel comfortable, and reflected their love for design. Every detail was carefully planned, with the Bauhaus style as the central theme. This design concept, close to their hearts and perfectly aligned with their aesthetic, influenced everything, from the fonts on the invitations to the elegant lines of the centerpiece vases. The color palette – ochre, black, light pink, and cherry – created a strong, distinctive event, far from the conventional wedding designs.

The Perfect Venue for a Creative Wedding

The venue was a crucial choice for this creative wedding: Villa Il Cerretino in Poggio a Caiano, with its unique architecture, was the perfect setting for the event. The ceremony setup transformed the garden into a cozy vintage bistro, where guests could relax and enjoy the moment without formality. For Serena and Daniele, it was also important to experience the day with spontaneity, without feeling forced into the spotlight.

A Unique Symbolic Ceremony

The symbolic ceremony was a series of emotions and surprises. The counter used for the exchange of vows later turned into an elegant cocktail bar for the aperitif. The decor, in perfect industrial-chic style, was a perfect example of creative wedding design. Stabilized black maranta and lunaria adorned the scene, while vases made from old galvanized downspout terminals added a vintage touch that contrasted beautifully with the surroundings.

The Reception: A Creative and Unique Experience

The aperitif at sunset, served on special trays, immediately set a festive atmosphere, accompanied by a musical trio. Guests then moved to the upper part of the villa for the reception. Round tables, dressed in simple white linens, provided the perfect base for an unconventional table setting. Black perforated metal centerpieces and PVC chargers with four different patterns gave the table a strong character. Black glassware and cutlery added a rock touch, while the painted steel vases, each unique in shape and color, gave a dynamic and elegant effect. The floral compositions, featuring yellow craspedia, stabilized black maranta, and cherry-colored anthurium, created a visually striking and artistic impact.

The evening concluded with funk music, the perfect soundtrack to end a wedding that was, in every way, a work of design, creativity, and love.

Serena and Daniele transformed their wedding into a unique, detail-oriented, and deeply personal experience. As wedding photographers, it was truly an honor to capture this special event through our images
