Lucca is about an hour from our home in Florence. We are Silvia and Tommaso, and as wedding photographers we have been telling wedding stories together for more than a decade, one wedding at a time.

One of our couples got ready in Lucca and married in the garden of Villa Bernardini; another chose the same villa for a wedding inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

We follow the day as it unfolds, present yet discreet: getting ready in town, vows in the garden, dinner under the lights of the lemon house.

GETTING MARRIED IN LUCCA

For the villas and their gardens, first of all. Around Lucca the historic villas open onto Italian gardens, lemon houses and lawns where dinner can be served outside on a summer evening.

And the city is close: you can get ready in Lucca and then reach the villa for your vows in the garden.

VILLA BERNARDINI

The villa where we have told two very different weddings. The first was a spontaneous day among the gardens, with dinner in the secret garden and gelato served from a vintage car.

The second became a Midsummer Night’s Dream: a ceremony in a circle on the lawn, which we also photographed from above with the drone, all white florals and crystal candelabras for dinner by candlelight.

MORE THAN ONE DAY, AND THE RAIN

Many couples who come from abroad turn their wedding into a weekend, with a welcome dinner the night before or a brunch the day after. We can follow those moments too: tell us your programme and we prepare a quote.

Most couples book us around a year in advance, especially for weddings during the most popular months. However, if your date is closer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: even a month in advance can work if we’re available.

Yes. We live in Florence and Lucca is about an hour away. Travel within 80 km of Florence is included; beyond that, we add travel costs to the quote.

Rain can change the plans and logistics of a wedding, but it doesn’t mean your photos have to lose any of their magic. We make the most of the elegant interiors of a Tuscan villa, or step outside with an umbrella for a few romantic portraits in the rain.
