Ian & Minttu — When Art Meets Love in the Tuscan Hills
Some love stories are loud in the best possible way. Ian and Minttu are one of those couples who fill every room with warmth, laughter, and an energy that’s completely contagious. From the very first moment we met them, we knew their Tuscany Wedding was going to be something special, and Villa il Cerretino, nestled in the Tuscan hills near Florence, was the perfect stage for it.
As Destination Wedding photographers, one of the things we love most about our work is stepping into a place for the first time and feeling its soul. Villa il Cerretino has that quiet kind of magic, old walls, art-filled rooms, and light that moves differently than anywhere else. It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t need to try.
first look
Before the ceremony, Ian and Minttu chose to share their first look inside one of the villa’s art rooms. Surrounded by paintings and sculpture, the two of them stood face to face for the very first time on their wedding day. It was tender, genuine, and full of the kind of joy that makes wedding photo after wedding photo feel like something you want to sit with forever.
The ceremony
The ceremony was celebrated by Minttu’s sister, a choice that gave the whole moment an intimacy that no officiant could replicate. Words spoken by someone who has known you your whole life carry a different kind of weight, and you could feel it in the room. And while the vows were being exchanged, something quietly magical was happening in the background: a live artist captured guests faces, expressions, and the atmosphere of the day in delicate watercolour portraits. Each guest received their own drawing, a small, handmade keepsake bearing the names of Ian and Minttu and the date of their wedding. It was one of those details that perfectly reflected the soul of this couple: generous, creative, and deeply thoughtful.
What followed was pure celebration. An aperitivo in the golden light of late afternoon, guests mingling, glasses raised, the hills of Tuscany framing everything like a painting. By the time dinner began, the sun was setting and the sky was doing what Tuscan skies do best — turning the whole world soft and amber and impossibly beautiful.
As Tuscany Wedding photographer duo, we followed Ian and Minttu from getting ready all the way through to the dancing — and if there’s one thing we can tell you about these two, it’s that they never stopped smiling. Not once.
If you’re dreaming of a Destination Wedding in Florence or the surrounding Tuscan countryside, Villa il Cerretino is a venue that stays with you. And if you’re looking for Wedding Photographers in Italy who will blend into your day, tell your story honestly, and be there from the quiet morning moments to the last dance — well, you know where to find us.
