Alessia and Tommaso’s wedding at Palazzo Gondi in Florence

The wedding of Alessia and Tommaso, both Florentine by birth, was inspired by the charm, elegance and beauty of their city. They tied the knot in September, and the color palette and style naturally reflected the surrounding landscape and their venue, Palazzo Gondi.

Getting to know each other first

One beautiful reason to plan a pre wedding photoshoot in Florence is the chance to truly get to know your photographers and build the trust that lets you relax and enjoy every moment of your wedding day. We met Alessia and Tommaso for a photoshoot in June, together with their beautiful child. It gave us time to talk, get to know them better and break the ice.

When the wedding day arrived, we already knew each other, and this helped them feel comfortable in front of us and our cameras.

Getting ready at Palazzo Gondi

Palazzo Gondi is a true paradise in the heart of Florence. This historic residence surprises you from the moment you enter its splendid courtyard, with its majestic staircase, sumptuous halls and a panoramic terrace with breathtaking views of the city and its monuments. Pure beauty surrounded the bride, the groom and their guests.

The bride got ready at the Palazzo with her bridesmaids, in a wonderful room overlooking the Duomo. Meanwhile, the groom was at home with his two witnesses. As usual, Silvia followed Alessia while Tommaso followed the groom, also called Tommaso. This allowed us to capture the preparations of both, from laughter to toasts, and even a few tears of emotion before the ceremony.

The bride wore a stunning dress, in perfect harmony with the elegance of the venue.

Ceremony at San Filippo Neri and portraits in the city

The ceremony took place in the Church of San Filippo Neri, a 17th century Baroque building in Piazza San Firenze, right in front of Palazzo Gondi, in the heart of the historic center.

Right after the ceremony, we spent an hour with the couple in the center of Florence, wrapped in the warm light of a September afternoon.

Aperitif on the terrace and dinner in the main hall

Guests enjoyed a relaxed aperitif on the wonderful terrace of the Palazzo, surrounded by all that beauty. The golden colors of the sunset and the music of a string trio were simply magical, and our photographs reflect that moment perfectly.

Dinner was served in the main hall at a U shaped table, decorated with colorful, vibrant flowers. Ivory, antique pink, burgundy and shades from beige to brown were chosen for the bold floral centerpieces, both at the table and in the church. Printed menus and place cards added a refined touch, and all the stationery reflected the color palette chosen by the bride. Roberta of Alfresco Wedding worked hard to make everything perfect, and so it was.

Alessia and Tommaso’s wedding was an unforgettable day, framed by the beauty of Palazzo Gondi and the magic of a timeless city.
