Pascal and Jamil’s wedding at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte

We met Pascal and Jamil for the first time the day before their wedding at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, on the Chianti hills around Florence, near Impruneta. This gorgeous historic villa was the venue they chose for their autumn wedding in October.

Exploring the villa the day before

We had the chance to break the ice and explore the villa together. We chose the angles and their favorite rooms for the whole day, from the early preparations to the ceremony and the party.

Visiting the villa together was really helpful. It helped us get to know each other, organize our work and understand the kind of wedding photography they had in mind. In particular, they wanted a “first look” and a few shots with the groomsmen and the bridesmaids in the beautiful Italian garden, all before the ceremony.

Getting ready and the infamous bow tie

The next day, Tommaso and I spent the early preparations with the groom and the bride respectively. The best man and the maid of honor were there too, which helped Pascal and Jamil get ready and relax: they all looked so natural chatting away that they never even noticed the cameras.

The four groomsmen and a child all struggled a little with the “infamous” bow tie. It made the groom’s preparation more fun and gave us the chance to take a few original and cheerful shots.

Autumn colors and dancing in the frescoed hall

The day continued with a wonderful outdoor ceremony in autumn colors, in the shade of century old trees, followed by the portraits of the newlyweds. The aperitif was outdoors too, in the upper Italian garden, and dinner with all their friends and family was served in the wonderful frescoed hall.

Everything looked and felt relaxed and natural. Pascal and Jamil had a lot of fun and seemed at ease all the time. We still remember the wild dance moves and the atmosphere of the whole night.
