Linda and Stefano’s boho chic wedding in Florence and Chianti

Linda and Stefano’s wedding was unconventional and boho chic, with a wonderful pregnant bride: a ceremony in the Red Hall of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, then a party in the Chianti countryside at Il Paese dei Campanelli.

How we met Linda and Stefano

Linda and Stefano met us at another wedding, where they were guests: two of Linda’s friends were getting married, and we were their photographers. When they decided to get married, they called us, asked us to be their photographers and told us about the wedding they had in mind.

A couple of months later Linda told us she was pregnant, and she would show up at the wedding with her baby bump! We were immediately excited to photograph a pregnant bride.

The morning ceremony at Palazzo Vecchio

Linda and Stefano arrived at the Florence town hall in a horse drawn carriage adorned with beautiful flowers. The wedding took place in the sumptuous Sala Rossa of Palazzo Vecchio.

After the ceremony we took some photos in Florence city center, then we moved to Piazzale Michelangelo and in front of the Abbey of San Miniato al Monte. Here the soft floral dress of the bride moved in the wind, and we took beautiful photographs while Linda and Stefano received the greetings of tourists and passersby.

A boho chic party in Chianti

In the afternoon we moved to the countryside, among the Tuscan hills. The party took place at Il Paese dei Campanelli, near Barberino Val d’Elsa: a location in the heart of Chianti, surrounded by rows of vines and olive trees, with the rolling hills as a background. This country chic place was ideal for the party Linda and Stefano had in mind.

The aperitif was outside, with guests sitting on hay bales, and dinner was served on long wooden tables decorated with colorful flowers and a myriad of candles, in perfect boho chic style. The bouquet toss took place outside, then everybody moved under the loggia for the cake cutting and the rockabilly dances. During the dances we took the newlyweds among the rows of vines for a few photos of the two of them at night, under the moon.
