Emelie and James’ wedding at Villa il Cerretino, in the hills near Florence, was a magical and engaging experience. We captured every special moment with a light and spontaneous touch.

Getting ready and the first look

When we photograph a destination wedding, it’s always easier to connect with the couple, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, because everyone is more relaxed. Couples who choose to get married abroad often embrace the experience from the very beginning.

When we arrived at Villa il Cerretino, Emelie and James were already completely at ease with the venue. The bride was enjoying pizza with her bridesmaids, and the groom and his groomsmen were relaxing by the pool. The preparations, divided between two rooms of the villa, were a succession of carefree emotions and heartfelt toasts.

Emelie and James had decided to have a “first look”: after getting ready, the couple meets privately before the ceremony. It gives them a private space to express their emotions, reduces stress and lets them focus on each other without the pressure of the guests.

For us, the first look was a chance to capture intimate and emotional images before the whirlwind of the day. It also left more time for couple and family photos, without rushing between the ceremony and the reception. It’s something we always recommend.

An outdoor ceremony in the courtyard

After the first look, Emelie and James spent time with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, sharing laughter while waiting for the outdoor ceremony in the villa’s courtyard. The surrounding greenery and the distant view of Florence created a charming backdrop. The light, the rolling hills and the timeless atmosphere are exactly why so many couples choose to marry in Tuscany, and they never stop inspiring us.

The aperitif followed in the same courtyard, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside. Dinner was a triumph of delicious flavors and entertainment, with dances and songs involving both the newlyweds and the guests. With the drone we also captured aerial shots, telling the story of the wedding from a unique perspective and showing the villa and its surroundings.

Sparkling lights and dances

After the cake cutting, the dance floor turned into a whirlwind of joy, with the couple surrounded by sparkling lights lit by the guests: a simply magical atmosphere. From the first look to the last dance, we photographed every moment with attention to detail and a touch of spontaneity.
