Magali and Giulio’s wedding at Villa Chiatina, Val d’Orcia

Magali and Giulio were looking for a photographer for their wedding in Val d’Orcia, and they contacted us directly through our website. She is French and he is Italian, and they both live abroad. After a few emails and phone calls, we got to know each other during a photo session in Florence.

Engagement session in Boboli Gardens

They chose to do the shoot a few months before the big day. We met at Boboli Gardens in Florence, a place we particularly love because it offers interesting views of the city and beautiful hidden green corners.

We spent a couple of hours together, getting to know each other and understanding what kind of photos they had in mind. This was very useful on the wedding day, especially for the couple portraits, when brides and grooms are not always very relaxed. Together we took really fun and creative photos!

A villa in the hills near Buonconvento

The wedding took place at Villa Chiatina, a beautiful villa lost in the hills of the Val d’Orcia near Buonconvento. Guests came from Italy and France, and all day long the air was sparkling and joyful, with the couple and their guests wanting to party and have fun.

From the bride getting ready with her friends and bridesmaids, and the groom with his brothers and family, the photos were spontaneous and full of joy right away. The ceremony opened with the bride arriving in a wonderful vintage Fiat 500, and took place overlooking the hills of the Val d’Orcia. The vows and the speeches of groomsmen and bridesmaids were all in two languages, so every guest could be moved.

Pink sunset, sparklers and dancing

Ceremony and aperitif took place in the gardens of Villa Chiatina, and from mid afternoon our photo booth was taking pictures of the whole party until late at night. At sunset we photographed the couple and their families bathed in a beautiful pink light.

Dinner was inside, full of speeches and video memories. Right after, we all went back out for the cake cutting, lit by hundreds of sparklers with the vintage 500 as a backdrop. The party went on until late at night, and we had fun photographing the dances of the bride and groom and their friends.

They said about us

Silvia & Tommaso did an amazing job. We’ve chose them based on their previous jobs through Matrimonio.com and their website. We’ve liked a lot their style. In the wedding package, we’ve had also an extra session used for us as “save the date” : some hours with them 4 months before the wedding, to take picture in Firenze. It was a good idea to take confidence and be more relaxed the D-day. They create a quiet atmosphere, we are not pushed or stressed. They are both lovely, friendy and we’ve took fun and pleasure during the wedding to do the pictures. The photobooth was also great with a high quality. The result of the wedding pictures is just great and perfect. I’m french and my husband italian, since they speak english is a great “plus”. We recommend them at 100%”
