Wedding Photographers in Siena and Val d’Orcia

SIENA

Medieval borghi, rows of cypresses, villas among the olive trees: a wedding in the Siena countryside starts from the landscape.

Our home is Florence, but the hills of Siena and the Val d’Orcia are where we often find ourselves on a wedding day. We are Silvia and Tommaso, wedding photographers telling wedding stories together for more than a decade, one wedding at a time.

Many of the couples we followed here came from abroad: one couple brought a thistle for Scotland to Borgo Stomennano, another added a Chinese ritual to two days at Borgo di Castelvecchio.

We follow the day as it unfolds, present yet discreet: getting ready in an old borgo, a ceremony among the olive trees, a long dinner in the courtyard under the lights.

A landscape that becomes part of your story.

GETTING MARRIED IN SIENA AND VAL D’ORCIA

For the landscape, first of all. Between Siena and the Val d’Orcia the countryside opens up in rolling hills, rows of cypresses and medieval villages like Monteriggioni, Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia.

The venues are borghi and estates with plenty of space outside: an aperitivo facing Monteriggioni, an arrival at Villa Chiatina in a vintage Fiat 500, a yes by the old silos above the Val d’Orcia.

YOUR DAY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

At Borgo Stomennano, one of our weddings had everything in one place: the ceremony, the aperitivo facing Monteriggioni, dinner in the courtyard under fairy lights, and then everyone into the pool.

At Tenuta Quadrifoglio, near San Gimignano, we told a summer wedding with an open air ceremony and dances until late, and took the portraits in the warm light of sunset.

MORE THAN ONE DAY, AND WINTER

Many couples who come from abroad turn their wedding into a weekend. At Borgo di Castelvecchio, one of our weddings began with a pizza and gelato welcome party, the day before the ceremony.

And the Val d’Orcia is beautiful in winter too: between Bagno Vignoni, Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia, a winter wedding has pale light, quiet villages and a slower pace.

Borgo Stomennano

A medieval village near Siena, among olive groves and potted lemon trees. Our wedding here had its aperitivo facing Monteriggioni and a long dinner in the courtyard under fairy lights.

Borgo di Castelvecchio

A borgo above the Val d’Orcia, where we spent two days with one of our couples: a pizza and gelato welcome party, a ceremony by the old silos, dinner in the square and a night of dancing.

Villa Chiatina

A villa in the hills near Buonconvento, in the Val d’Orcia. Our couple here, she French and he Italian, said their vows in two languages and cut a cake lit by sparklers.

Tenuta Quadrifoglio

In the hills between San Gimignano and Volterra. Two close friends of ours had an open air ceremony, a photo booth and dances that went on until late.

We also told an all white anniversary party at le Volte di Vico Bello, just outside Siena, and an intimate winter wedding in the Val d’Orcia, between Bagno Vignoni, Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia.

We’re here for
EVERY MOMENT that MATTERS.

Getting married near Siena

Most couples book us around a year in advance, especially for weddings during the most popular months. However, if your date is closer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: even a month in advance can work if we’re available.

Yes. We live in Florence and the Siena countryside is part of the Tuscany we work in. Travel within 80 km of Florence is included; beyond that, we add travel costs to the quote.

Rain can change the plans and logistics of a wedding, but it doesn’t mean your photos have to lose any of their magic. We make the most of the elegant interiors of a Tuscan villa, or step outside with an umbrella for a few romantic portraits in the rain.

Yes. We can follow the welcome dinner, the wedding day and the day after, like a brunch or a pool party. Tell us your programme and we prepare a quote.
