Elegant Indian Wedding in Italy

We had the pleasure of photographing this elegant Indian wedding in Italy, and it is an experience we will never forget. Thomas and Sarah dreamed of an Indian wedding in Florence that could beautifully bring together Sarah’s Indian heritage, her Catholic faith, the timeless elegance of Italy, and the people they love.
The ceremony took place at the Chiesa di San Salvatore in Ognissanti, a Catholic church in Florence, and was led by two priests who were deeply close to the couple. It was followed by a reception back at the villa, where guests gathered for a dinner under a canopy of soft lights.

As destination wedding photorgaphers in Florence Villa Il Garofalo, overlooking the rooftops of Florence and steeped in quiet history, offered the perfect space to bring all these elements together. Just a short distance from the city centre, the villa features a beautiful garden with breathtaking views over Florence. For Thomas, the city holds a special place in his heart, he spent time studying here during college, and this personal connection was one of the reasons they chose to return to Italy for their wedding.

They dreamed of a very traditional and elegant Indian Catholic wedding in Italy, with a refined palette of white, gold accents, and lush greenery. From the villa to the church, every detail was designed to highlight the classical beauty of Florence. Their destination wedding in Florence allowed guests to fully experience Italy, while the seamless blending of cultures, traditions, and faith with the Florentine setting created something truly meaningful and beautiful.

Even while celebrating in Italy, Thomas and Sarah wanted to pay homage to their families and cultural roots throughout every event. The combination of Indian traditions and attire with a clean, timeless, and classic Florentine aesthetic resulted in a stunning harmony of colours, music, personalities, and emotions.

We were truly honoured to be their Indian wedding photographers against the backdrop of Florence, Italy.

Meeting Sarah and Thomas just a few days before the wedding for their pre-wedding photoshoot in Florence and their welcome party gave us the chance to connect, break the ice, and discover how they move together naturally. We explored gestures, movements, and interactions that genuinely reflect their way of being together. By the time the wedding day arrived, everything felt effortless: they were relaxed, confident, fully present, and able to enjoy every moment of their elegant Indian wedding in Italy.
